1. Set up your Data Bucket

Option 1: Choose an Existing Template

We offer out-of-the-box templates for the most common use cases, such as receipt extraction, ID document parsing, and more.

If your use case matches a template, you can always drop the fields you don’t need once you’ve chosen it. Our templates provide high accuracy extraction.

Option 2: Create your own Data Bucket

If you have specific requirements that are not covered by the existing templates, you can create your own custom Data Bucket. Follow these steps to define your own fields for extraction:

  1. Click on the “Create Your Own Bucket” button.
  2. Provide a unique and descriptive name for your Data Bucket.
  3. Click on the “Define Extraction Field to Proceed” then ”+ Data Field” button to start defining the fields you want to extract.
  • You can choose ’+ Table Field’ if you want to define a list or list of fields.
  1. For each field:
  • Specify a clear and concise Field Name.
  • Provide a brief Description to help identify the purpose of the field.
  • Select the appropriate Type for the field (e.g., Text, Number, Date, etc.).
  1. Repeat step 4 for each additional field you want to include in your Data Bucket.
  2. Once you have defined all the necessary fields, click on the “Save” button to create your custom Data Bucket.

Your custom Data Bucket is now ready to be used for extracting data from various document types according to your specific requirements.

2. Parsing Documents

We provide 3 options to process documents and parse the required fields. We support the following document types: PDF, images, DOCX, TXT, MD, and HTML.

Option 1: Upload through the Dashboard

You can upload documents directly through the Parser Expert Dashboard through Import Button. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop your document.

Option 2: Send Documents via Email

You can send documents to Parser Expert for parsing by forwarding them to a designated email address associated with your account. To find this email address:

  1. Visit the Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Manage Bucket section.

In addition to parsing email attachments, Parser Expert can also parse the content of the email itself. To enable this feature:

  1. Go to the Manage Bucket section in the Dashboard.
  2. Locate the “Process Attachment” option.
  3. Uncheck the Process Attachment checkbox to instruct Parser Expert to parse the email content instead of the attachments.

Option 3: Upload via API

Refer to the API Reference for instructions on how to upload documents using our API.
